At Air Force TENCAP… or Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities… exploits National
capabilities to deliver rapid, cost-dominant, and innovative warfighting solutions. This is accomplished
by analyzing emerging technologies, build partnerships with industry and academia, and prioritizing
urgent operational needs.

When AF TENCAP identifies projects for the USAF, we develop capability and deliver prototypes that are
often absorbed and deployed to large-scale acquisition programs.

Air Force TENCAP was originally created as a cold-war era organization to leverage investment from the
U.S. Intelligence Community, to provide capabilities direct to the warfighter.

Over the decades, our mission has adapted, as have our expertise and focus areas, in order to address
emerging and changing threats. Innovation and speed are the heart and soul of everything that we do
for the warfighter.
